Rest, 2024

installation view from the solo pop-up show “Rest” at IRRE Space, Weimar

In a gallery space, the exhibition features a single old chair handle attached to the wall with gum. The lights in the space are turned off, with only a faint glow coming from the next room. The exhibition is documented with high camera exposure to collect more light and to capture the artist’s movement as a performative action while he brings another chair to replace the missing one. The handle’s fragile attachment reminds us that comfort and stability are often temporary and easily disrupted.
